- DC St. Patrick’s Day Parade
- This year's parade theme: A History of Strength The Parade will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 12:00 Noon, and will proceed down Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Streets, N.W., in our Nation’s Capital. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the best attended parades in Washington.There are still plenty of fundraisers one can attend to have a great time and help raise money to keep this tradition alive!
Maryland Festivals
- Baltimore Irish Festival
- Dates for 2008: Friday, November 7, 2008 to Sunday, November 9, 2008
Location: Maryland State Fairgrounds (Cow palace), 2200 York Rd, Timonium, MD 21093 - Celtic Festival of Southern Maryland
- April 26, 2008 marks the 30th year for the oldest Celtic celebration in Maryland. The Southern Maryland Celtic Festival and Highland Gathering highlights the heritage of the Scots, Irish, Welsh, Manx, Breton, Cornish and British. The festival is scheduled on the last Saturday of April every year from 10 AM to 6 PM Rain or Shine on the 560-acre Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum. Look for the distinctive yellow flyers each year around the beginning of the year so you can start inviting friends and neighbors to go with you and share our common heritage (or learn about someone elses!). While your pets aren't going to be turned away there is usually a crowd and occasionally show animals. It would be less stressful for them if you left your furry friends at home that day.
Virginia Festivals
- Potomac Celtic Festival
- Will be held on June 14th, 2008, in it's traditional location of Morven Park in Leesburg, VA.
- The Alexandria, Virginia St. Patrick's Day Parade
- Parade Day is March 1, 2008!
- Virginia Scottish Games
- The 2008 Games will be held on September 13-14th from 9 am to 6 pm at Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane, VA.
